Ground Adjustable Propellers
Natural composite blades in aluminium hubs, or a full composite version with 2 to 7 blades, for tractor or pusher configurations.
At GT Propellers, we manufacture several models of ground adjustable propellers. For aerobatic aircraft, glider towing aircraft, powerful experimental aircraft and WWII replica applications, we use natural composite blades mounted in aluminium hubs.
Blades are available in more than 20 different designs and sizes. Modern or vintage, hubs come in two types: a monolithic alloy hub or a two-piece (split) hub. Both offer outstanding safety features and are compatible with a wide range of engines and applications. Available in various sizes, for tractor or pusher configurations, and can be supplied as standard or custom builds. Configurations are available with 2, 3 and 4 blades (see brochure below)
The full composite version is entirely made from advanced composite materials, with several blade design models available — from 2 up to 7 blades. In this version, both the blades and the hub are composite, with the blades protected by a metal leading edge guard. The hub is produced from a complex composite forging process. These propeller systems are extremely lightweight and are mainly used on LSA aircraft. Some special versions are also adopted on modern mobility projects and UAV platforms.
