PROFESSOR GINO PASCALE FLIES THE VARIABLE PITCH GT-PROPELLER

Professor Pascale personally tested the new GT- prop at TECNAM company’s main facility and made a very interesting flight report using the low inertia two blade electrically controlled prop installed on P-2002 SIERRA . Prop type tested was : GT-2-V-12-173-SRTC, electrically controlled, two blade tractor configuration, weighing about 10 KGs, with blades made of composite sheathed mixed wood types.

PROFESSOR PASCALE REPORTED : The prop gave the best all-round performance on the Rotax 912-S powered SIERRA . The engine ran very smoothly and the prop produced very low noise even at max rpm during take off and climb, both inside and outside the cabin. The fuel burn was optimized . The climb rate was very impressive without any sacrifice to the cruise speed. All flight phases were found to be more comfortable and take off distance was minimised.

A VERY SPECIAL GT TESTIMONIAL

A well known name in the world of sport aviation who has been enjoying the benefits of this latest generation of variable pitch propellers is Giovanni Nustrini son of Luciano Nustrini , the famous air race pilot who won several Air Race competitions around the world in the 1960’s and 70’s with his 1950’s designed Falco. After buying one of these propellers for his P-2002 Sierra and gaining severals hours on it, Giovanni decided to market the props in New Zealand and Australia along with his other representations of well known aircraft brands. Several models of TECNAM have already been fitted with the props and Giovanni has established a Sales & Maintenance facility for GT Propellers. Giovanni (who also owns and races a Falco) is now discovering the benefits which other overseas TECNAM agents are well aware of, namely the close co-operation between TECNAM and GT-Propellers which has grown from the association of these two trade marks since 1990.
