GT Propellers and Tecnam

reach 20 years of continuous collaboration!

This long-standing partnership all began in 1992 when Professor Pascale was just embarking on the wonderful world of light aircraft.   GT-Propellers were still at their first workshop in San Lorenzo RN when a simple phone call from the Professor to Giancarlo of GT-Propellers soon had the two enthusiasts on their way to creating a very successful aircraft. Both kindred spirits and like-minded individuals, they understood each other’s experience and the common goals they shared.

This experience helped develop a recognized international industry that has spawned a unique set of numbers over the 20 years of mutual collaboration.

Here are some fascinating numbers to consider….

5000 is the number of propellers manufactured and sold directly to Tecnam SRL both in fixed and variable pitch configuration.

Over 2000 propellers were manufactured and sold as spare parts to private individuals, maintenance organisation or simply the owners of Tecnam aircraft around the globe.

1500 is the number of Tecnam propellers returned to service directly from Tecnam.

The year 2001, in Carpi Modena, marked the delivery of the thousandth propeller, which was adorned with a special livery decorated by a famous Italian airbrush artist. The event concluded with a beautiful ceremony that included drinks and buffet. The commemorative propeller was personally delivered to Paul Pascale.

The number 6 represents the different global certifications for GT Propeller designs. These certifications are provided by many world-wide aviation authorities including the Civil Aviation Authority, RAI, JAR, LBA, EASA and many other minor LSA certification authorities in many parts of the world.

The number 23 represents the number of fixed pitch propellers that GT-Propellers has created for Tecnam.

The number 5 represents the number of variable pitch propellers that GT-Propellers has created for Tecnam.

The number 5 also represents the number of variable pitch hubs produced for official use by Tecnam.

The number 12 represents the different engines used by Tecnam that use propellers manufactured by GT-Propellers.

The number 4 represents the number of different specifically designed engines (unofficial and specifically tailored for individual applications) for which GT-Propellers has created specifically designed propellers.

Millions of flight hours flown by all the GT-Propellers.

Thanks to the close partnership we have with Tecnam, we are aware of many new projects that are in the pipeline. Consequently many other propeller models are waiting to be tested by Tecnam. Surely at least another 20 year of collaboration coming up!
